If you’re considering Pereview as your Life of the Asset solution or if you are already a happy Pereview customer, you may be curious about the team of professionals who update and support our software.

We sat down for a Q&A session with each of our team members and asked them to talk a little bit about what drives them to pursue excellence and what makes them who they are.

Getting to Know Our Team: Ronnie Cook

What is your role and what do you like the most about it?

I am responsible for several amazing teams at Pereview. The teams I have the pleasure of managing include:

• Client Success Management – a team of former asset or portfolio managers that know firsthand how difficult it is to manage real estate data out of Excel, PowerPoint, and PDFs. They work side-by-side with our clients to ensure they are successful onboarding to Pereview while building ongoing relationships to support our clients as their needs evolve.

• Data Analytics & Loading – a team of seasoned engineers that work with our clients to load all different forms of data into Pereview.

• Reporting – a team of highly skilled report writers who work with our clients to provide reporting solutions. The reports can range from formatted quarterly investor reports, to acquisition pipeline tracking, to tear sheets, to ad-hoc reporting, to KPIs with drill down capabilities.

• Product Development – our team of highly talented software engineers who work with our clients and our CEO to develop an extensive roadmap to expand and improve our product. We are constantly looking to improve our platform and will continue to be the only true Life of the Asset software for real estate.

Why do you choose to work for Pereview?

I worked for over 20 years in Real Estate Engineering at Goldman Sachs and Archon Group.  Our CEO Jeff Wilson left Goldman Sachs in 2012 to start Pereview Software, and I was thrilled at the opportunity to work with him and several of my former colleagues again. I am absolutely amazed at how the team has taken what they learned at Goldman and have turned it into a viable product that is revolutionizing the Real Estate industry.

In your opinion, what unique value does Pereview most bring to our customers?

Pereview is an all-in-one solution for Asset and Portfolio Managers in the Commercial Real Estate space. There really is nothing else like it on the market. Several of our competitors target a small niche of the Real Estate lifecycle and are trying to expand some of their capabilities, but only Pereview covers the entire Life of the Asset.

Our core values as a company are A TEAM: Always Do the Right Thing, Take Ownership, Entrepreneurial, Accountable, Make Work Fun. How have you applied those to your job?

One of the things that I have enjoyed most about joining the Pereview team is the entrepreneurial spirt. Back in the early days of Archon Group/Goldman Sachs we recognized there was nothing on the market that would satisfy our needs, so we built everything internally with a large in-house technology team. If someone in Asset Management needed certain functionality, we would just grab three or four developers and custom build it for them.

At Pereview Software, we have taken decades worth of this knowledge and been able to provide it to small, medium, and even large clients who do not have the expertise or technical staff to just build something on their own.  Being able to build a complete solution that benefits more than one company in the real estate space is absolutely thrilling to me.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of the office?

I enjoy camping and going on long car trips with my family where we only take the backroads, exploring hidden gems and sites along the way. I also enjoy volunteering with disaster relief and have helped with multiple Hurricane clean-up assignments in Texas and Louisiana.

If you could watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My all-time favorite movie is Ferris Bueller’s day off and could almost quote it verbatim. “I asked for a car, I got a computer.  How’s that for being born under a bad sign?” If I had to pick a TV show it would be LOST, hands down.
